31st Annual Delaware Valley ABATE Toy Run "For the Kids"

So, what really happened in Philly on Sunday November 6th?

I've heard it called impossible, a long shot, a miracle and a blessing. When our local ABC station, Channel 6 Action News, received several phone calls asking about the annual motorcycle parade to CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) and were told that CHOP had permanently cancelled the event, a reporter contacted Mark Schultz and I and arranged for an interview.

Del Val Toy Run - On Again Off Again?

A situation has come about that we all have to be concerned about. Most of you are aware that after 30 years of putting on the largest rolling toy run just about anywhere, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia asked the Del Val Chapter to discontinue the toy run. Add to that the additional challenges of having to pay thousands of dollars to the Police for their assistance the past two years. Thank You for responding to the Call To Action for HB1399. YOUR phone calls to your State Representatives made the difference!

House Bill 563 a bill that provides liability protection to landowners who permit the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program to use their property for training passed the Senate Transportation Committee unanimously. No amendments were attached. The bill will now be considered by the full Senate. There appears to be strong support for this bill and we want to see passage in the near future.
